Pitch Letter

OMG, been busy folks so apologize for not getting these docs out to the group sooner like I said I would!! My Sponsorship Proposal is over formatted and difficult for me at this time to add to this post. I will make time to add it to the blog tomorrow, really!!

Dear ________,

It was a pleasure to meet you yesterday. Thank you so much for your interest in this unique opportunity to support the City College of San Francisco Fashion Show Production class (CCSF). As a student of the class I am thrilled to be a part of this San Francisco tradition. I am writing to follow-up our conversation regarding _______ becoming a sponsor of our annual Spring Fashion Show event. The event depends entirely on the generous support of local companies of which we hope we can count you a member.

On Sunday May 22, 2011 we will be producing our tenth Anniversary Student Fashion Show entitled "Decadence" at Ruby Skye, 420 Mason St., San Francisco. We are asking for ________ to sponsor our event by providing $1500 plus a 1000 bounce back discount coupon to _______ for our gift bag, possibly ________ to inlcude as part of a raffle package, ________ accessorize models on the runway , and on-site activation with _______display. Through the generous financial and in-kind support of corporate sponsors such as ________, we are able to offset our production expenses to raise significant funds for the fashion Department at City College, thus offering many opportunities to students.

Sponsorship benefits include:

- Opportunity to reach your target audience -1000 guest in attendances

- Guaranteed brand visibility at the event through listing on signage and logo exposure in our program (Program deadline: May 1, 2011)

- Complimentary tickets to the fashion show

- Tax deduction on your financial contribution made payable to the "City College of San Francisco." (a501c3 organization)

- Item in gift bags including bounce back to the _________ location in Macy's Union Square

I will call you on (day), (date) to set up a meeting. I look forward to the prospect of having you partner with us on this worthwhile event. On behalf on the CCSF Fashion Department and the students, thank you for your interest and consideration.

Sincerely,

((This is a version of my pitch letter and quickly tried to make it a general format for you to follow and make additions to as needed. As you might notice, it copies Natalies example closely.))

Raffle Girl Costumes

The top two photos are examples of what the accessories look like that my friend is donating. The dresses are examples of what the raffle girls can wear and an example of shoes. I was thinking fishnets or lace hose might be pretty as well. We can dress similar but not identical. Also, the feather can be worn on the dress as sort of pin, since the tiara will already be sparkling. Let me know thoughts and/or if we agree to this concept.

StyleElevation.com

Hi guys! Hope your weekend went well.

I emailed Karrian Frerichs, proprietor of online boutique StyleElevatiom.com and co-instructor of the Fashion Writing and Publicity class, about her possible in-kind sponsorship. Cross your fingers she agrees, cause she really does have some cool products that would be perfect on our "Fresh Green Luxury" package!

I asked to speak with her on the phone to discuss our needs further. Have a look at her online store (styleelevation.com) so I have a good idea about what pieces we'd like to go after.  Post a comment with links to items we like or the name of the piece.

See you all in class tomorrow!

City Car Share

The cash value of raffle prize is $210. Not $50. Also they are not wiling to give extra driving credit and do not care if we give them exposure on posters and publicity material. I am on top of this one and Natalie is aware of the progress.
Thanks!

Hey Guys,
I am still trying the Redbox thing, but my husbands boss is on vacation and they have something about not going above the chain of command. I am still waiting on that, but in the mean time I was thinking of contacting the eco citizen boutique. I really like the product and it goes perfect with our theme. I am going to contact them, I just wanted to make sure no one else was so we don't contact the same person. I remember someone saying that they are doing eco clothing...just wanted to make sure we did not have the same idea.  Just comment back so I know if its a go!

Thanks,

Rheannia

March 1st: Racap Group Discussion

Press Release:
**We plan to finalize our Press Release and Fact Sheet by tomorrow and get both documents to Natalie ASAP**

Raffle Package:
Jen got me thinking about who is our target audience for our raffle package. Really, that is a great question, who do we want to appeal to?? The City Car Share sponsor is exactly where I was heading when I mentioned approaching Zipcar...(Divya, awesome for following threw on that one!) But, we really want to make sure we are specific with what we want and what they are willing to offer us.

Divya, some questions to ask:

What is the monthly membership? is it a CCSF membership, a share local or a Plus plan?

Does this package include free driving with membership? We should ask for it!
example:
A 10 month Share PLUS membership with 10 hours of free driving a month, celebrate ten years of City CarShare and 10 years of the CCSF Fashion Department Student Fashion Show.

Moving on, we did come to an agreement as a group that we are calling our Raffle Prize Package: FRESH GREEN LUXURY

Like Jen mentioned, lets define our "green goddess," the girl who we want to entice to try and win our prize package. A few buzz words and a sentence or two should do.

So far I have got:

"Fresh Green Luxury: A prize package for the sustainably stylish, luxurious, and eco-fashion conscious beauty who knows she can do good, look good, and feel good!"

Not perfect, but a start, right? Please let me know what you think.

Just a quick reminder of who is contacting which sponsors:

Justin-hotel, restaurant, and gym
Rhea-Redbox (may turn into gift bag in-kind)
Larice-bike rental, Origins cosmetics
Candy-Vintage clothing shop ( may turn into raffle outfit lead)
Belle-Eco jewelry
Jen-Eco bag company
Jenifer-Eco clothing company
