Press Release Draft, 3/2/11

Indulge Your Fashion Cravings with Decadence
City College of San Francisco celebrates 10 years of fashion education
with its annual spring fashion show

San Francisco,CA, May 22, 2011 – Hey fashion fans!  Looking for a great, local fashion event to go to?  Want to spend your Sunday evening soaking in the latest in cool, chic, romantic, and edgy trends?  City College of San Francisco is back with its annual spring fashion show.  Celebrating it’s tenth year, this year’s extravaganza promises to arouse the senses with student designers’ magnificent creations and a return to where it all started: Ruby Skye, one of San Francisco’s most luxurious and grand night clubs.  We will begin welcoming guests at 6:00pm, and our show will start at 7pm.  Tickets for this lavish event are being offered at $10 for students and $15 for general admission.  With raffle tickets featuring exclusive prizes and packages from local spas and restaurants, Decadence promises to bring a little bit of opulence to your night.

For the past decade, the Fashion Department at CCSF has fostered the Bay Area’s up and coming fashion creatives in a unique and enriching environment.  As one of the few student-produced, student-featured fashion shows in California, Decadence is the product of collaborative efforts of the students in CCSF’s Fashion Show Production class, and student designers in the Fashion Department.  This year also marks a new and exciting feature to the CCSF Spring Fashion Show: one winning senior designer will be awarded a scholarship from the Academy of Art University.

The Fashion Department of CCSF is recognized for professional excellence in design, fashion, and business.  All proceeds from the show will benefit CCSF’s Fashion Department.

  1. OK guys, here's another updated version. To address some questions and comments from earlier:

Rhe - thanks for pointing out the missing 'e'! ;)

Larice - ooh yeah, thanks for reminding me about the scholarship info. I made it a little more general.

Jennifer - I thought about it a lot, and decided to leave that sentence about raffle tickets & opulence in that first paragraph. I just couldn't see where it would logically fit in paragraph 2. :(

Anyway, have a gander and let me know! As soon as I get the group's OK I'm going to send it off to Natalie.

    Thanks Marketing Team!

  2. Belle-

Per Natalies request, can you please add graphic communications to the collaborative mentioning.

The following sentence would read something like this:

"Decadence is the product of a collaborative effort between the students in fashion show production, fashion design, and graphic communication."
